Silver Strand The Long Beach Saga is being well-received. Folks are really getting into the tales. I had one fellow come up to me while I was looking out to sea on the boardwalk and call out. “Are you looking for Calico Jack?”
Another reader expressed her wish that Phoebe and Aloysius would become an item and yet another said he was shocked when there was a sudden plot twist. At least two people who are not Long Beachites said they wished they had grown up there.
All in all, it is a lot of fun sharing the love for Long Beach. Book club dates and signings are lining up. I will be at Kennedy Plaza, Long Beach for the Centennial celebration June 4 and June 5 with books and pen. Also, will be joining with Pat Gallagher in presenting the History of Long Beach Through Maps at that time.
