The Long Beach Hotel Burns to the Ground

In the early AM on July 29, 1907 the Long Beach Hotel caught fire and within a few hours burned to the ground leaving only its massive central chimney standing. Miraculously, there was no loss of life among over 1000 gursts and employees. There many injured folks who were attended to by a physician guest, Dr. Belmont DeForest Bogart (father of Humphrey).
